Discover the bold character of 2018 Planeta Burdese Sicilia IGT, a powerful red wine from Sicily’s Menfi region crafted by the renowned Planeta estate. Burdese — a name derived from the Sicilian word for “Bordeaux” — marries Cabernet Sauvignon (≈70%) and Cabernet Franc (≈30%) to create a wine of great structure, depth and complexity that reflects the warmth and terroir of the island.

This full‑bodied red shows a deep ruby colour with an intense aromatic profile of rich black fruit, cherry and blackberry, mingled with spice, tobacco, cocoa and subtle earthy notes. The palate is powerful and concentrated, supported by firm, finely woven tannins and a long, lingering finish that reveals both elegance and strength — ideal for drinking now or cellaring further.
